My history crush is Pierre-Simon, marquis de Laplace. This guy was an amazing mathematician and astronomer. He is often accredited with the Biot–Savart law, an equation that describes the magnetic field generated by an electric current. He also is the first person to publish scientific or casual determinism, which is if someone knows the precise location and momentum of every atom in the universe, their past and future values for any given time are entailed?. Did I mention he has his name on the Eiffel Tower, an asteroid named after him, and the European Space Agency’s Europa mission named after him? This guy is awesome and deserves to be noticed more.
